1:1 and family consulting

Structured consulting for families and individuals navigating conflict, estrangement, and complex relational decisions. This work is intentional, time-limited, and designed to bring clarity and direction to situations that feel emotionally overwhelming or stuck.

Consulting is not psychotherapy. It is a strategic, systems-oriented processfocused on understanding patterns, reducing escalation, and supporting thoughtful decision-making.

Option one

Individual consulting session

A focused, one-time consultation designed to help you think clearly about a specific relational situation. This session is not a simple check-in or processing hour. It is a structured conversation aimed at insight, perspective, and next steps.

$60075 minute session
$1,400Package of three 60 minute sessions

What this often looks like

  • clarifying what is actually happening in the family system
  • identifying patterns that may be escalating conflict or distance
  • sorting out what is, and is not, within your control
  • discussing realistic options moving forward
  • determining whether further consulting would be helpful

Best for people who

  • want clarity around a specific situation
  • are deciding how to respond to conflict or estrangement
  • are unsure whether deeper family consulting is needed
  • want a thoughtful, contained conversation rather than ongoing therapy

What to expect

You should leave this session with a clearer understanding of the dynamics at play and a more grounded sense of how to move forward.

Some situations are appropriately addressed in a single consult. Others reveal the need for more structured family work.

Option two, my primary offering

Strategic family consulting package

Designed for families who need deeper assessment, multiple perspectives, and structured joint work. It is especially well suited to families navigating estrangement, chronic conflict, or relational gridlock where conversations repeatedly go nowhere.

Extended consulting

When more time is needed.

Some family situations require additional time, support, or follow-up beyond the initial package. Extended work is offered selectively and discussed collaboratively based on need and fit.

  • additional individual or joint sessions
  • follow-up support after a family meeting
  • continued guidance around implementation or decision-making

How to prepare

This work asks something of you.

Consulting is most effective when clients come prepared and engaged. Before beginning, I ask that individuals and families:

Reflect honestly on their own role in the system.

Be willing to consider perspectives beyond their own.

Come prepared to listen as well as speak.

Understand that clarity and accountability are part of the process.

A note on fit

Not every situation calls for consulting.

Not every situation is appropriate for consulting, and not every family is ready for this kind of work. In some cases, therapy, group programs, or no immediate intervention may be the better next step.

If you are unsure which option is the best fit, you are welcome to share a brief overview of what is happening, and I can help you determine whether consulting is appropriate.

Questions

Before you decide

No. Consulting is a strategic, systems-oriented process focused on understanding patterns, reducing escalation, and supporting thoughtful decision-making. Therapy is a separate service, offered on a limited basis to clients located in Nevada, where I am licensed.
The individual consultation is 75 minutes. The family package includes one 75 minute intake, two 60 minute individual sessions, and two 90 minute joint family sessions.
A single consultation is $600. A package of three 60 minute sessions is $1,400. The strategic family consulting package is $2,800. Extended work is discussed case by case.
Not for an individual consultation. The family package is built around multiple perspectives, so it includes individual sessions with key family members as well as joint sessions.
My consultation schedule is currently full. Requests are read personally and answered as space opens, so there may be a wait, and sending one does not guarantee a consultation.
I will tell you. In some cases therapy, a group program, or no immediate intervention is the better next step, and I would rather say so than begin work that will not help.
