The Long Game is a 12-week small group workshop for mothers carrying the heartbreak of conflict, distance, or estrangement with an adult child. Rooted in the belief that a mother’s love is not bound by time or circumstance, this workshop combines professional guidance, reflective practices, and supportive community. Here, motherhood is honored as a lifelong calling — one that endures through joy, loss, hope, and sorrow. Guided by therapeutic insight and a spirit of deep respect, we help fellow mothers find strength, clarity, and dignity in the enduring work of loving across even the widest spaces.
What We
Do
New! Two 1:1 Consults
Before the series begins: A private session with Rachel to share your story and hopes.
After the series ends: a private session to reflect, integrate, and plan your next steps.
You’ll receive the warmth of group companionship and the focused care of individual guidance.
Understand Dynamics
You'll learn how relationships really work: the invisible patterns, attachment wounds, and cultural forces that often drive conflict. I'll bring in professional frameworks to help you map your family system.
Practice Skills
You’ll learn and practice tangible skills — new ways to communicate, repair, and respond — drawn from research-based approaches to relational healing. These small shifts can open possibilities in even the hardest relationships.
Share stories & Build Community
You’ll be invited to share your story in a safe, compassionate space. Rachel helps guide the conversation so your voice feels honored. Together, we’ll create an intimate circle of mothers walking similar paths. You'll leave not just with insights and skills, but with connection, courage, and a renewed sense that you are not alone.
Reflect Kindly
Through gentle exercises and reflection prompts, I’ll help you look at your own relational habits with both honesty and tenderness. This isn't about blame — it's about becoming wiser and more empowered in how you show up.
Honor Grief
We’ll honor the losses you’ve experienced, without getting stuck in them. With the help of structured practices, I’ll guide you in processing grief while also rebuilding your sense of dignity, joy, and meaning in your life.
